Welcome
Best Eikaiwa have always had a reputation as a great kid's school.
Good training is why
There are lot's of English schools and most of them have native speaking teachers, what's the difference?
We train our kid's teachers very, very carefully.
Teaching kids is hard work. You need the right teachers and they need to be trained well. Our teachers love kids and are trained to work with them.
About Us
Since I started Best Eikaiwa in 2003, I've learned a lot about teaching.
I care about the quality of the kid's classes and always try to do what's best for the children.
Once a week is not the same as living in America, but a good school can make a big difference.
We're proud of our school and are happy to have parents observe lessons anytime.
Playgroup is great fun
Relationship is the key here. The groups are kept small and we spend time talking and playing with every child.
It's a great chance to get together with other mothers and to expose your kids to Western culture while they're still young.
Kindergarten is our specialty
Our biggest single student group is kindergarten (so all Best Eikaiwa teachers are very experienced kinder teachers)
We use a careful balance of English and Japanese in the classroom so kids feel comfortable about communicating and always use the English they've learned.
We do cooking, craft and have great kid's parties too.
Whole Language Approach
kids must make complete sentences, not just speak words.
From grade 1, we start focusing on reading and writing as well as speaking.
Phonics is taught slowly and completely. We teach the shapes and sounds of the English language from the beginning.
This seems slower, but kids who remember whole words too early will never learn to read well and will keep their Japanese pronunciation all their life.
All Grown-Up now...
Lessons are no longer held in the kid's room and we start using some of the adult, web-based tools.
The focus with this age group is conversation and grammar.
Junior High kids have full besteikaiwa.com accounts and are taught in class how to use the tools to practice English in class and at home.
Please look through our Adult Tour to find out more about the besteikaiwa.com tools and how they can help your child learn English.
Meet our partner
'EnglishPod101.com' are our partners.
We work together to give extra options to adult students.
This is nothing to do with the kid's classes... (but you need to answer their question for the competition)
If you'd like to know more about this service and how besteikaiwa.com and EnglishPod101.com work together, please ask.
This could be a great option for busy mums and dads who want to learn English too...
(daily speaking + daily listening + weekly conversation...
Wow!)
That's the end of our tour...
